The IUCN SSC Cycad Specialist Group (CSG) has released its 2024–2025 report, highlighting major global progress in cycad conservation.
Key achievements include updated IUCN Red List assessments for East African species, new recovery plans and conservation workshops across six countries, strengthened ex situ assurance colonies for critically endangered species, and growing international collaboration through the Global Conservation Consortium for Cycads.
